Video: How do High Temperatures Affect Your PDU?

(Data Center, Power Management, Thermal Management) Permanent link

Power distribution units (PDUs) are typically installed behind hot air exhaust from equipment, so they live in one of the hottest areas of the data center.

That’s why it’s important to consider a reliable product to distribute all the power needed at the rack level.  This is even more important when airflow containment systems are present, since the back of the cabinet becomes even hotter.

Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) eConnect® PDUs can take this heat like no other, as they have the highest temperature rating in the market (149F (65C).

Watch this short video to learn why high temperatures are an important consideration when it comes to deploying a PDU.
