Who says summer is full of long, lazy days? For CPI’s Global Technology Manager, Ian Seaton, the hottest months on the calendar have also been a hotbed of activity in support of his latest white paper, “How Much Containment is Enough?”

If you haven’t already done so, this precise analysis of thermal management in the data center, a must read, is available for download right here.

In on-going support and promotion of the white paper, Ian has traveled the country by land, air and ink (magazine coverage of course!) to give further insights into why and how today’s cold aisle, hot aisle and cabinet-level containment strategies are evolving our idea of the data center as much more than just a room full of computers but a full-fledged “industrial process.”

CPI's Ian Seaton speaking at recent DatacenterDynamics eventIan’s journey started in mid-July with a containment presentation at DatacenterDynamics Converged in San Francisco. Here’s Ian speaking to the crowd during the event (image at right, courtesy of DatacenterDynamics).

On the print side, Ian’s contributions this month have also included a self-penned, feature article (“Embracing the Benefits of Data Center Containment” pg. 24) in the July/August 2012 edition of BICSI News Magazine, as well as co-contributing with CPI’s National Sales Manager in Canada, Stew Munns, to a feature article (“The Changing Data Centre” by Denise Deveau, pg. 17) in the Canadian-based CNS Magazine for July/August 2012.

When you consider the cost savings and state-of-the-art aesthetic that CPI Aisle Containment strategies offer, it’s easy to say why the industry is having a tough time containing their enthusiasm for this innovative new approach to thermal management. Jeff Cihocki, Global eContent Specialist
