Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) Technical Manager for Latin America, Victor Bañuelos, recently became an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer. Only 366 elite design engineers from 54 countries have received such accreditation.
As a global data center authority, Uptime Institute created the Tier Classification System to provide data centers with a consistent method to compare typically unique, customized facilities based on expected site infrastructure performance, or uptime. (More information on this topic can be found here.)
With Uptime Institute’s Tier Designer Accreditation Bañuelos will be able to:
• Help CPI's customers save money by minimizing lost design due to misunderstood Tier criteria
• Optimize schedule by designing a data center project with the Tier objective in mind
• Properly apply the Tier concepts to deliver on-time, on-budget, and Tier Certified projects
Bañuelos has been a thought leader in the region, delivering keynote presentations at well-known industry events. He recently spoke at the 2014 BICSI CALA District Andino Conference and Exhibition in Colombia about the cost-savings benefits of Passive Cooling® in the data center.
In addition, Bañuelos provides training to data center professionals at CPI’s state-of-the-art office, training facility and demo space known as CPI's "Centro de Diseño y Alta Tecnología" (CDAT), located in the heart of Mexico City.
