Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) is pleased to announce a new addition to our popular OnTrac® Wire Mesh Cable Tray line – OnTrac Shaped Tray.
Watch this video for a great visual introduction to CPI's newest cable pathway solution, featuring CPI's Product Manager for Open Architecture, Michael Moore.
Creating point-to-point pathways for network cabling in data centers, equipment rooms and office spaces, CPI’s OnTrac Shaped Tray features unique flattened cross wires that increase cable support by providing a much larger contact surface for cables as compared to the original standard round wire tray.
This unique design reduces the pressure and strain on the cables that come into contact with the tray, while using the same installation techniques, splices, supports and accessories as our standard tray offering, ensuring easy adoption and use.
Additional Shaped Tray features:
400% larger contact surface for cables
Up to a 63% reduction in cabling strain/pressure
A bottom insert or liner that can be used to create a solid bottom tray
UL Classified as an equipment ground conductor
The new pre-galvanized finish is also an excellent alternative to the zinc electroplated finish in that it eliminates environmental concerns about post production chemical cleaning and plating, and application concerns about zinc whiskers, all while retaining a clean metallic finish.
Other updates include an optional Cable Tray Liner (seen at right), used to create a solid base and sides within the tray to protect and hide cables. Additionally, the cable tray liner creates a fiber-friendly solution made of black polymer material and pre-scored to match try depth with a temperature range to 239º F. This and a whole host of other value-added accessories can be accessed on the updated OnTrac Wire Mesh Cable Tray webpage . Jeff Cihocki, Global eContent Specialist
