Educate Yourself With the Latest Products From CPI

(Cable Pathway, CPI Products, Data Center, Thermal Management) Permanent link

Get Ready for School With CPIBefore the bell rings and we officially close the book on the dog days of summer, there’s still time to do your back-to-school shopping. Though we’re not talking about stocking up on pens, pencils and paper... here at Chatsworth, we have something more impressive in mind – a full course-load of exciting new products to strengthen your data center – especially for those in the education sector.

Our curriculum starts with the new OnTrac™ Wire Mesh Cable Tray – and let’s face it, starting things off on the right track is always a good idea. CPI’s latest cable tray now comes in a UL® Listed pre-galvanized finish, offering an even more cost-effective pathway solution for less-visible indoor locations like those under raised floors and above drop ceilings. By distributing network cables to cabinets and racks with this no-frills approach, the OnTrac also boasts excellent load-bearing capacity and protection – especially ideal for plenum spaces. Of course, it wouldn’t be a CPI tray without the ability to customize your design to wind its away around corners and obstacles with ease – just another reason why we’re at the head of the class when it comes to useful cable management.

HotLok Snap-In Filler PanelsAnother hot topic this year… keeping your data center cool! Thanks to CPI’s HotLok™ Snap-In Filler Panels, there’s now an easy and affordable way to seal off open rack-mount units, thus preventing hot air recirculation around standard 19”EIA rack-mount computer server and data storage equipment. HotLok panels pop on and off in a snap and are made from durable, RoHS compliant lightweight plastic, meaning easy installation and removal. Better still, the HotLok earns extra credit for its optional built-in temperature strip, giving you the ability to visually identify potential hot spots in the making. There’s nothing like coming to class prepared!

PatchRack for Cable Runway

Naturally, fitting in is an important part of the back-to-school process, and rather than stick out like a sore thumb, CPI’s Black D-Rings for the PatchRack for CPI Cable Runway are now available in, yup, you guessed it, black, to match racks with a black finish as well. This simple, yet seamless color scheme update lends another dimension to the aesthetic quality of CPI D-Rings while still offering the same trusted pathway support for premise cables and patch cords.

Vertical Wall BracketBack to black, CPI’s latest Cable Runway Vertical Wall Brackets are also now available in the popular color of choice to match the black runways they help support. Used to attach cable runway to a wall in a vertical orientation to route cables from floor to ceiling, this new uniformity further helps polish your existing data center or gives your new data center that added measure of professionalism – not to mention structural support.

If you’re ready to graduate to a higher degree of data center know-how, give these new products your full and undivided attention – come test time, you’ll be glad you did!

Why didn't we mention anything about Evolution G3 in this article?

Thanks for the feedback, Randy! Actually, our August 5, 2010 blog post entry, titled 'The Evolution of Evolution Cable Management,' dealt specifically with the advancements made to this product line, including the Evolution g3. That entry can be found here - http://www.chatsworth.com/Blog/Default.aspx?id=45284&blogid=6624
