On April 7-10, 2011, Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) attended the Graybar National Comm/Data Training Conference in Orlando, FL. During this event, we were honored to take part in a team-bonding exercise known as "Graybar CARES," which incorporates Community, Awareness, Responsibility, Education and Service.
Eight employee-owners from CPI took part in Operation CARE, where we assembled care packages for U.S. service personnel. The event included various trivia questions, including identifying the insignias of each branch of the military. Correctly answering the trivia questions meant a chance to shop for items which could be included in each care package. Incorrect answers led to bonding amongst the team members as we tried to figure out the correct answer.
In addition to the variety of comfort items ranging from toothbrushes and razors to granola bars and magazines, letters written by our team members were also included in the care packages. We certainly enjoyed this opportunity to support our troops while having a great time bonding with one another. Jennifer Miller, Sales and Marketing Specialist
