With a variety of educational sessions for RCDDs, networking opportunities, a cabling skills challenge, exhibits and more, last week’s 2011 BICSI Winter Conference had it all. But if you want to know the real star of the show, let’s just say this tune’s for you!
“So you’ve had some cabinet troubles / Don’t want no ordinary Four-Post Frame
And now your heat loads might be changing / I think it’s time I introduce you to the GlobalFrame”
Ripped straight from the scorching set list of Bent Metal, CPI’s very own rock band, the lyric above (set to Prince classic “Purple Rain”) is just a taste of what went down last Monday night as Chatsworth Products, Inc. celebrated the recent release of our latest cabinet solution at the GlobalFrame World Tour Party.
And my-oh-my did BICSI take notice! Over 500 conference attendees packed a local Orlando hang-out to be entertained by the world’s greatest IT infrastructure band, mix and mingle with CPI employees, and enjoy a fun-filled evening complete with bouncing beach-ball CPI globes and a red-carpet entrance into the venue through the GlobalFrame itself!
During the rest of CPI’s time at BICSI, we were honored to see CPI Universal Racks, cable runway and cable managers make up the official product line of the 2011 BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge. While over at our booth, a sharp-looking glacier white TeraFrame F-Series with Vertical Exhaust Duct shared the spotlight with the GlobalFrame, CPI Power Management products and both Evolution™ and Velocity™ Cable Management displays.
Of course, all the buzz surrounding Bent Metal's legendary performance is just the tip of the iceberg. Be on the lookout for a full video recap of the show over at CPI's YouTube channel page (with previous Bent Metal shows already posted!). A huge round of applause and thanks goes out to the band members, CPI employee owners one and all (from left to right in photo above):
- Lead Guitar, Michael Tully (Regional Sales Manager)
- Lead Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter, Bill Bippus (Regional Sales Manager)
- Bass Guitar, Bob Sienkiewicz (Associate Product Manager)
- Founder & Drummer, Jack Larson (Area Vice President - Eastern U.S. Sales)
- Keyboard & Vocals, John Thompson (Field Applications Engineer)
- Rhythm Guitar, Gary Hebert (Regional Sales Manager)
We'd be crazy not to let them have the last word (this one set to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight") On this night, they certainly were!
"So now you’re transporting / 3,000lb load ratings
With the TeraFrame HD / With re-usable packaging
And then you ask me / What if my space is too tight?
I’ll say ‘don’t worry,’ our doors hinge from left to right” Jeff Cihocki, eContent Specialist
