Orlando Health wanted to construct a new data center because of hot spot issues in its original data center. With Chatsworth Products' (CPI) solutions and expertise, the space now uses less than 2/3 cooling capacity to cool 200% of the original IT load. Over $350,000 was saved by reusing older CRAC units, and $120,000 was saved by not using a raised floor. Additionally, cabinet-supported fiber duct and low-voltage basket trays also saved $350 per cabinet installation cost.
Steve Bornfield, CPI's Senior Data Center Consultant, will explain what was involved in this successful installation at the Mission Critical & Data Center Expo (MCDC) in Atlanta next month. If you are attending the Expo, plan to attend his session on Wednesday, February 11 at 3:55 pm.
