WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 1, 2016 — This year, Chatsworth Products (CPI) celebrates 25 years of providing quality products and solutions that protect valuable technology investments around the world. CPI is a 100 percent employee-owned company founded by a small group of individuals who were committed to delivering high-quality products to the rapidly growing information technology (IT) market. Today, CPI has engineering, manufacturing and sales offices across the United States and around the globe.

CPI was founded on June 27, 1991, when 90 employees joined together and bought out the Dracon Division of Harris Corp. using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). What began as a limited portfolio of racks, runway and accessories, has grown to more than 90,000 standard products that range from high-density server cabinets, to intelligent power distribution and environmental monitoring products.

This forward-thinking spirit is what motivates CPI to delight its customers by responding rapidly with tailored standard and custom solutions that give them a higher return on investment. For example, CPI’s groundbreaking Passive Cooling^® technology resulted in a shift in the way companies designed and managed their data centers.
