Benefits Overview
We have an array of benefits to choose from to fit your individual needs. While some of these are optional, some are provided and paid for by the company:
Medical
Coverage starts the first day of the month following one month from your regular full-time date of hire. We have various plans based on geographic locations: California and Texas have a PPO, HMO and HDHP option. All other states have a PPO and HDHP option. The company pays 80% of the premium costs for the employee and family of they participate in the Wellness Plan.
Dental
Coverage starts the first day of the month following one month from your regular full-time date of hire. We have a PPO plan where the company pays 80% of the premium costs for the employee and family.
Pet Insurance
We have 2 pet insurance options.
Life Insurance
Coverage starts the first day of the month following one month from your regular full-time date of hire. The company provides life insurance equivalent to twice your annual salary. You can also purchase additional Supplemental coverage for you and your family at a nominal cost.
Short-Term Disability
Coverage starts the first day of the month following one month from your regular full-time date of hire. Disability insurance is provided to you for the first 180 days of disability.
Long-Term Disability
Coverage starts the first day of the month following one month from your regular full-time date of hire. Long-term disability insurance is provided to you after 180 days of short-term disability.
Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
They are available as a pre-tax benefit.
Legal Shield/ID Shield
We have insurance options for legal shield and ID shield to help you protect your personal information.
401(k) Retirement and Savings Plan
Eligibility begins the first of the month following 90 days of employment. Your temporary time will count towards the employment service requirements. You are eligible to contribute up to 50% of your income into this pre-tax savings account, up to the IRS annual limit. The company has a matching formula for participants.
Employee Stock Ownership Plan
Vesting in the ESOP begins the first day of employment. Allocation of shares of stock in the company occurs after you have completed one full fiscal year in which 1,000 or more hours of work is performed. The stock allocation is provided by the company at no cost to the employee and is based on eligible compensation. All participants receive the same percentage of their eligible compensation. Participants are fully vested once they have achieved 3 years of credit service.
Profit Sharing
The purpose of the plan is to provide a tangible expression of the core values of the company through the sharing of a portion of annual profits equally among all eligible employees, thereby enhancing teamwork, caring and commitment and promoting the long-term growth and general prosperity of the company. Eligible employees will receive a pro-rated amount based on date of hire and days worked during the year.
Holidays
Chatsworth Products has 10 holidays per year.
Paid Time Off
Eligible employees accrue time off on a weekly basis depending upon their date of hire. Depending upon length of service, eligible employees will accrue between 2.31 and 3.85 hours per week.
