CPI Introduces QuadraRackTM Server Frame Unique Design Supports Rack-Mount Servers

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, announces the availability of the new QuadraRack Server Frame. The frame has been designed specifically for supporting rack-mount equipment.

Mounting rack-mount servers onto 4-Post Frames with standard rack channels can be challenging due to clearance issues between channels and mounting rails and stability issues caused when servers are pulled out to full extension. The new QuadraRack Server Frame was designed specifically to address these issues. 14 gauge steel unequal flange C-Channels provide the clearance needed for rack-mount server sliding rails and with the integrated horizontal braces, the torsional strength required to prevent mounting rails from being twisted when rack-mount servers are pulled out. Flexibility to adapt to specific server mounting screws is provided by cage nuts that clip into EIA compliant square hole channels.

CPI's QuadraRack Server Frame offers easy access for simplified equipment installation and cabling as well as unrestricted airflow for improved cooling and heat dissipation. Open frame construction makes cabling and cable management simple, while unrestricted airflow means equipment will not be subject to the excessive heat sometimes generated in a closed cabinet environment.

A unique Extension Pan Set provides structural integrity and facilitates easy assembly. In order to minimize assembly time, the bottom base angles attach to the "C" channels using two steel plate nuts -eliminating the need to attach four separate hex nuts. Top and bottom Extension Pans provide the supporting structure between the two sets of channels. The pans are self-squaring and attach to the existing holes in the channels (previously used to attach the top and base angles). The top Extension Pan has been specially designed to allow mounting of 12" or 18" cable runway directly to the top of the frame utilizing the optional J-Bolt Kit, CPI Rack-To-Runway Plate, or, Cable Runway Elevation Kit.

Shelf-supported equipment can also be accommodated using specially designed QuadraRack shelves including Heavy Duty Fixed (solid and vented) and the new Extra Heavy Duty 4-Point Sliding Shelf that supports equipment weighing up to 300 lb.

The QuadraRack Server Frame is available in 19" width and 7' height and supports 1000 lb (evenly distributed weight).

Combine the QuadraRack Server Frame with the industry's largest selection of cable management, shelves and seismic protection products to create the perfect solution to nearly every computer and communications network structural support requirement.
