WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – May 2009 - Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a global manufacturer providing voice, data and security products and service solutions that optimize, store and secure technology equipment announces new updates to the T-Series SteelFrame Cabinet. Designed for applications requiring a fully featured standard solution for mounting and securing electronic, network and security equipment, the T-Series SteelFrame Cabinet offers a wide variety of new door, lock and top panel options and is now available with CPI Passive Cooling® Solutions.

The expanded line now includes two widths, two heights and five depths (20 sizes) to fit various requirements and applications and is available in three styles: T-Series SteelFrame Cabinet, T-Series SteelFrame with Vertical Exhaust Duct and the T-Series SteelFrame Frame Only.

All T-Series SteelFrame Cabinets now feature eight new stylish doors that include a swing handle latch with keyed lock and support front-to rear or front-to-top airflow. All doors can be easily removed or reversed to open from the right or left and can be exchanged between the front and rear of the cabinet.

T-Series SteelFrame Cabinets are available in a narrow or wide footprint to meet a wide variety of needs. The narrow (T1) footprint maximizes floor space and fits over 24” wide (610 mm) access floor tiles, while the wide (T2) footprint provides approximately 3” (75 mm) of internal cable management space along both sides of equipment. All T-Series SteelFrame Cabinets include a vertical cable manager and two pairs of threaded or square-punched 19” wide, EIA-310-D compliant, adjustable-depth equipment mounting rails that provide front and rear support for equipment and shelves.

To support high-density applications, the T-Series SteelFrame Cabinet now features CPI Passive Cooling thermal management accessories to control airflow and improve thermal performance. This innovative thermal management technique allows you to isolate hot air and control the flow of air throughout cabinet space in turn reducing data center energy costs and maximizing cooling unit efficiency. Thermal accessories include a Vertical Exhaust Duct, Airflow Director, Rear Door Seal Kit, and Air Dam Kit.
