(CPI), a global manufacturer providing voice, data and security products and service solutions that optimize, store and secure technology equipment is celebrating 20 years of employee ownership June 27th, 2011. Celebrations were held on June 24th, 2011 to recognize and reflect on the achievements and successes of CPI over the past 20 years.

The exciting 20 year anniversary marks over 1,000% sales growth since inception, an unparalleled increase in product offerings and selection, as well as CPI's strong international presence in multiple regions all over the world.

Chatsworth Products, Inc. began as a result of a buyout from a Fortune 500 company when the original employees came together to purchase the operation, adopting an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in the process. As a result, on June 27, 1991 Chatsworth Products, Inc. began new life as a 100% employee owned company.

Through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) structure, all employees of CPI become beneficial owners. Such ownership, combined with CPI's inclusive and participatory culture, motivates employees to think and act like owners, creating a strong commitment to the attainment of an ultimate and core purpose: delighting the customer.

CPI adapted to employee ownership with such ease that just two years after inception, the California Chapter of the ESOP Association recognized CPI as the ESOP Company of the Year. CPI was again so honored in 2008.

As CPI prepares to enter its third decade as an ESOP company, employees reflect with a sense of gratitude and pride at the success and growth that has been experienced during their first two decades.
