Engineered specifically for switches using side-to-side airflow, the N-Series TeraFrame with integrated Network Switch Exhaust Duct captures hot exhaust air from the side of the switch and re-directs it away from the cabinet, converting side-to-side airflow into a front-to-rear airflow pattern in hot aisle/cold aisle layouts. The Juniper-compatible N-Series TeraFrame is designed with an additional three inches of space where the side of the switch and duct meet. This allows the EX8200 modular switches to fit perfectly within the N-Series while isolating hot exhaust and removing it from the space, eliminating re-circulation of exhaust air and maintaining safe equipment operating temperatures. The N-Series TeraFrame safely supports up to three eight-slot EX8208 switches or two 16-slot EX8216 switches in a single cabinet. “Many Juniper Networks customers are deploying the EX8200 in data centers designed for front-to-back cooling,” said Ramesh Padmanabhan, VP of Engineering for the Ethernet Platforms Business Group at Juniper Networks. “The Juniper-compatible N-Series TeraFrame provides a quick and easy customized cabinet solution for deploying EX8200 switches in these environments.”
The N-Series TeraFrame Cabinet also includes advanced cable management solutions that simplify installation and maintenance while providing maximum cable capacity. Featuring offset doors and side panels, the cabinet supplies open space around each EX8200 switch, increasing airflow and simplifying access to equipment and cabling. In addition, CPI’s Juniper-compatible N-Series TeraFrame Cabinet includes Snap-on plastic T-shaped Cable Management fingers that align with each RMU so that cables can be easily divided and organized by line card. Cables can be routed effortlessly to other cabinets using the cable access ports around the perimeter of the top panel.
